Welcome to the Mike Sullivan Campaign Website
Houston City Councilmember Mike Sullivan, has filed to run for Harris County Tax Assessor -Collector.
Sullivan was first elected to Houston City Council in 2007. He currently represents District E, which stretches from Kingwood to Clear Lake. He chairs both the city's Ethics and Council Governance Committee, and Water Resources Management Committee.
Sullivan is known as the conservative voice on Council, and often the lone voice. He has decided it is time to use his experience as a small business owner and his conservative values to work for the people of Harris County. City Hall has taught him no matter the odds it is important to fight for what is right.
"I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to serve the people of Harris County. I have been recruited by party, business, and community leaders who feel there is a need for new management in the Tax Assessor-Collector's office, and I'm humbled that they feel I am the best person to lead it." Mike stated.
Sullivan serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Kingwood Medical Center, Advisory Director-Gulf Coast Division of HCA, and as a Director of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of
Commerce. He also serves as a member of the UH-Clear Lake
Community Partners Council, an Ex-Officio Director of Bay Area
Houston Economic Partnership, and director of the Bay Area
Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau. He was also appointed by
Governor Perry to serve on a special task force on unfunded mandates.
Mike and his wife Kim reside in Kingwood. They have one daughter,
Paige who is a freshman at Baylor University. The Sullivan's are
members of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
